A Constant Walk With God
As women, it is normal for us to get busy and encumbered with so many things ranging from work, to family: nuclear and extended, to church etc. While we get so busy with issues of life, let us not forget our secret place with God which calls us into fellowship and deeper walk with God.
Looking at the life of Mary and Martha in the bible, we see an example of two different women focused on two different things.
While Martha got busy with chores and activities, Mary was found leaning at Jesus feet learning from Him. One would want to judge the attitude of Mary as being unfair while justifying Martha’s but we easily forget the place of timing and priority
No wonder Jesus himself said “one thing is needful and Mary has chosen that needful thing”
We go about activities and schedules forgetting that “one needful thing”. It is high time we placed priority on our walk with God even as we get busy with things of this life.
God calls us into deeper walk with Him as He helps us navigate through life. Let us not be like Martha getting choked up with work and neglecting the prompt of the holy spirit.
